I have a Tlingit friend in the Yukon that wanted some “Russian Blue” Faceted beads so I thought I would pose with them before I sold them. Russian Blue beads were a medium of exchange in the fur trade and the traders got as much as 20 pelts per bead for them! We call them Russian as the Russians were who brought them to Alaska, but they were probably made in Bohemia. We have a shrimp trap this year and one can see I have not lost any weight this summer.
