Waht are the specific laws regarding found treasure on one’s private property?
What happens if someone finds a Civil War cache, gold bars, Native American artifacts, dinosaur bones, whatever?
(Serious question for a savvy lawyer please.)
Would the Government have the right to try to claim it? Or what?
And YES I realize I typo’d “WHAT”.
How much would the following artifact sell for, or where can I find out?
I came across this (links to pictures below) a little while ago. A friend of mine who collects old indian arrowheads and indian artifacts seems to think that it may be worth something but I’m not quite sure how I would actually go about finding out:

What was the original purpose of ‘fringe’ on the native american moccasins? What about the knee high?
I am into a moccasin battle with a friend ovr the fringe. I hav always thought and believed that the fringe’s purpose was either purely decorative or to provide motion to keep flies away. He says that it because on the knee high moccasins that was how they put the shoe together, by tieing the fringe. i hav never heard of tieing the fringe in my life and i hav asked several people and i hav been to an indian artifact museum and saw nothing of the sort. Please inform me on whether the fringe was purposed for embellishment or ”tying” the shoes on. thank you
have you ever gone indian artifact hunting?

Indian artifact help?
I was in a thrift store that had some old Native American items, including a small broom looking object. It is about 10 to 14 inches, handle being about 10 inches long and about 1 1/2 inches wide. The handle is made of a hollowed out bone which has carved lines and has been polished, so it looks like bamboo due to the lines, but is definitly bone. Out of one end is bunch grayish horsehair, so it looks like a large artist brush??? If anyone can tell me any….that would be great : )
An indian artifact? ?
I have an item my grandmother gave me that she got from her great-grandmother who was a cherokee Indian. It is 3 sticks tied together like a TP and has a stone hanging in the middle with a leather strap. Does anyone have any idea what it is or was used for?
